Hello Wellness Warriors,
I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well.
I am signed up for a two-week thyroid summit. It starts this week, and I will be taking notes to share with you.
The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland that sits in the front of your throat. It receives a lot of attention as it is one of the drivers of metabolism.
Hormones are very powerful substances, and no different for thyroid hormones. They change on a moment-by-moment, hourly, and daily basis.
Symptoms of thyroid functional imbalances are many. Just a few that I have seen over the years are:
Weight issues
Fatigue
Insomnia – due to an imbalanced and incoherent thyroid going hyperactive at nighttime
Hair loss in women and men
Always cold
Brain fog
Dry skin
Depression
Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
As you can see, the thyroid gland plays an important part of wellness. All the organs and glands are very interrelated. Everything in the body is connected to everything else.
The thyroid does not act alone. The spleen, liver, kidneys, and bladder can affect thyroid function, as can deep-seated, hard-to-see, health-depleting toxins. Toxins like chemicals (vaccines), heavy metals (like babyhood vaccinations), and immune challenges (like long COVID).
The body may not always be able to detoxify these toxins in an effective manner and can unknowingly hang around for years and even decades. They do not show up on blood tests, scans, and ultrasounds, yet can be the very root cause of “unexplained symptoms.”
Many of us know people who struggle with weight even though they eat well, exercise, and do all the right things. This is an unexplained symptom. The thyroid can definitely play a role here.
The question is, what else is playing a role? It is not usually just one organ or gland. Same with the other symptoms listed above. And why are these glands and organs not functioning optimally?
You want to find the true root cause, and then find the best ways to address those issues, along with getting the whole body to function optimally on a daily basis. Then the amazing body just needs time to make the internal changes.
I look forward to learning more about the thyroid gland over these next several days. I will share key points that will have value to you.
I am adding a link below to Optimal Health Systems whole food supplements. You can look through their supplement line and see what resonates with you. I use them in addition to Standard Process and Medi Herb. OHS is a high-quality, professional line of supplements that I often look to for additional nutritional support for patients.
Click on the + sign on the right side, and that supplement will be added to your order. Fill in your email address and cell phone number and click send direct script. OHS will send you an order form. They take about 3-5 days to get to you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at drkarp@drdrewkarp.com. Please feel free to forward this email to someone who is passionate about their health.
